TEXT — choosing punctuation as other writers choose words — the right mark is as important as the right word

notebooks last half of 1989 has long sections i don’t feel like getting into
i should go back and start getting rid of some words — redo the notes for publication (whatever that might be)

i can’t go on with the notes today — burned myself out — but i don’t feel like doing anything else -

ART — get masking tape of different sizes and put them down in random configurations to paint around
? cut papers to scanner size so that all the works can be scanned
? make everything in squares — maybe 12” — I’d prefer 16” but that won’t scan
? would photographing things work

working on 7/89 notes with a lot of visual art material — 1989 was a visual art period

storing things
saving things — thinking of gold being used and not replaceable — but it would be ridiculous to keep it for ‘better use’
my general desire to save things — thinking (not really thinking — ‘unconsciously’ feeling) i just screw it up — keep things detachable —
